100% of Tokyo By Bike advertising revenue to go to charity

Lets face it, I'm never going to get rich from the Tokyo By Bike blog, but every now and again I do run the occasional paid advertisement on the site.

Withdrawing money from a PayPal account here in Japan an incredibly difficult, if not impossible endeavour.  As a result I've been using what funds arrive via PayPal to make donations to a variety of charities.

Starting today I'd like to launch a new service, one that benefits both advertisers and charities.

I plan to make the process public and encourage more people to become involved by offering a flat rate advertising fee of $20/month (with a 4 month minimum purchase) for a 280x100 banner advertisement in the right hand column of all Tokyo By Bike pages.

Each time I receive a payment for advertising it will be recorded publicly along with the advertisers name and url on a page for all to view. Each time I make a donation I will record the details on the same page. At any point visitors to the site can see what charities we have supported and which advertisers have contributed towards that support.

If you advertise with Tokyo By Bike 100% of your advertising dollars will be donated to a range of worthwhile charities, your banner will appear on all Tokyo By Bike pages, you'll get a mention on the Pedal Asia Podcast, your generous support will be tweeted to over 2000 Tokyo By Bike followers, and your company name and url will appear on the list of valued contributors for all time.

I'll be supporting all manner of charities with a particular focus on, but not limited to, bicycle related charities, and charities where the fund raiser is on a bicycle ride to raise money for their cause.
